Driving Force
I have often thought of myself as someone who is quite rational. I work as a data architect and software engineer and I have a degree in mechanical engineering. My studies and my job are intensely logical. I have even worked hard to rid myself of unnecessary negative emotions via self-administered rational emotive therapy. However, I now realize that the driving force in my life has always been my emotions. I studied mechanical engineering, software engineering and data architecture because I enjoyed learning these subjects. I enjoy thinking logically. My emotional desire for happiness and fulfillment has led me to eliminate unnecessary negative emotions via rational emotive therapy. Without my emotions driving me, I would not be the person that I am today.
